At Southbury, our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) runs from age two to age five. We are able to offer Nursery places from two years old through the Terrific Twos funding.

We understand that the Early Learning Goals; set by the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, are the outcomes we hope that our children will achieve by the end of the EYFS. Our curriculum is much broader than the Early Learning Goals and is driven by both the Core Books we use and the children themselves.

We provide purposeful learning opportunities that allow the children to practise and embed the skills and knowledge that provide the foundations for the next step in their educational journey.  We plan entirely with the needs of the children at the forefront of our minds. Therefore, our plans are flexible and constantly adapted.
