The pupil premium grant is funding to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. This includes the following groups:

•  Pupils who are entitled to Free School Meals due to qualifying benefits
•  Pupils who have been eligible for Free School Meals at some time during the last 6 years
•  Pupils who have a parent in the armed services
•  Pupils that are, or have been, looked after by the Local Authority or are adopted

At Southbury School, we use evidence-based approaches to support our disadvantaged children with the aim to diminish the attainment gap between them and their peers.
